Nine rooms across our two houses — Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 — where strangers become family over shared meals and long conversations.

Most rooms are homes to long-term members — openings are rare and worth waiting for. Striped amber means a room may open: we double-check with the community before promising anything. Striped blue means someone's application is in review — that doesn't close the door. If you feel you're the right fit, start now.

We live across two houses in Huam-dong, a few minutes' walk apart — dinners and gatherings flow between them, so there's no "which community should I choose": there is only one. Wander for the feel of each house: Chapter 1 — album · house tour 🎥 · Chapter 2 — album · house tour 🎥.
The two chapters have personalities. Chapter 1 sits on the hill — stairs to reach it and stairs within, cozy and cute (kind knees recommended) — and its kitchen is the roomier one: lovely if you cook at odd hours, early or late. Chapter 2 rests on flatter ground with easier bathrooms and more space of your own — your own cupboard shelf, and real room in the fridge.
About bathrooms, honestly. Chapter 1 has three: Baekbeom's own (with a bathtub), the big main one on the second floor beside Jeongwol — shared by the other four rooms — and a small helper bathroom downstairs. Four to a bathroom sounds busy, but everyone's rhythm is different and much of life happens out in the city; it flows. Chapter 2 has a bathroom on each floor: upstairs shared just by Itami Jun and Noh Eun Nim, downstairs serving Bae Doona and Lee Taeseok — you almost never wait. If bathroom ease matters a lot, Chapter 2 (or Baekbeom) is your friend.
Working late on US hours? Yeonam, Itami Jun and Jeongwol are the kindest choices — and either way, we lovingly recommend an eye mask. 🙂
And why no photo galleries per room? Our rooms are comfortable and made for real living — each card carries its true character, including the imperfections. We can't guarantee a specific room, and we won't always have the energy to engineer it. Trust the community, trust the place, trust yourself.
Short and practical — the deeper questions come later, in the application form. Everything here goes straight into our member records; we won't ask you twice.
Can't find a window that fits, or something feels unclear? Write to us at seoulnooks@gmail.com — members travel, plans shift, and sometimes a room breathes open for a while. We keep a little wish list for exactly this. 💫 And if living in isn't the shape of your season, remember the shikgu path — a bed next door or your own, a seat at our table either way.
